Position Description
Operate medium to large manual lathes to machine parts according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerances.
Load, unload, and position materials and finished parts using overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
Inspect finished work to verify compliance with quality standards and dimensional requirements.
Maintain and use personal machinist tools required to perform job duties.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies while operating equipment and handling materials.
Be willing to learn additional machines, processes, and job responsibilities as needed.
Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals and deadlines.
Overtime and Saturday work may be required based on production demands.
Qualifications:
Experience operating manual lathes, preferably medium to large-sized equipment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and understand machining tolerances.
Experience using overhead cranes preferred.
Must provide own machinist tools.
Valid driver's license required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
Requirements
Able to lift at least 50 pounds
Stand 10 hours or more per shift
2 years previous manufacturing experience
