Position Description
- Able to set up machines for each particular job
- Set off-sets as needed
- Select the proper tooling and inserts available for each job
- Operate overhead cranes and fork lifts
- Modify G-Code programs when necessary
- Able to read micrometers, calipers and other inspection instruments associated with the job
- Capable of reading customer drawings and holding tolerances to within .001” (and occasionally tighter)
- This is a job shop, processing orders of 1, 2, or maybe 4 piece typically
