M-F 6a-3p,7-4,8-5p 45-50 hours a week
Anything over 50 hours a week is double-time
The Machine Assembler works in the Assembly group focusing on the assembly Customer Designed Industrial Machinery.
Candidates should be familiar with interpreting blueprints and reading BOM’s (Bill of Materials). Employees need to be aware of specifications of the build process including torque specs, leveling and aligning of equipment and subassemblies, use of keyways, couplings, bushings gears and sealants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Layout, prepare, and assemble all mechanical and electrical components in accordance with drawings and shop practices and procedures.
· Cut, thread, drill, possibly weld, and etc. plates, shapes, bars, pipe, etc. of either metal or non-metallic materials.
· Air or water check sub-assemblies or assemblies as required.
· Hose and pipe all pneumatic, hydraulic and water-cooled equipment in accordance with schematics.
· Accurately account for materials per the Bill of Material and ensure that those materials are issued properly to the job.
· Perform minor maintenance and clean-up on machines as required.
· Move materials with hand trucks, forklift trucks and cranes as required.
· Observe all safety regulations. May be required to perform various other functions or duties as directed by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· High-School diploma or equivalent
· 2 or more years of previous experience in similar assembly work
· 1 or more years of experience welding OR verifiable welding certification
· 1 or more years of experience in cutting, threading, and drilling of raw materials (metallic and non-metallic) like plates, shapes, bars and pipe
· Read and understand blueprints and/or assembly drawings
